Large-Scale Assessment Of The Arctic Ocean: Significant Increase In Freshwater Content Since 1990s

March 28, 2011 Comments off

The freshwater content of the upper Arctic Ocean has increased by about 20 percent since the 1990s. This corresponds to a rise of approx. 8,400 cubic kilometres and has the same magnitude as the volume of freshwater annually exported on average from this marine region in liquid or frozen form. This result is published by researchers of the Alfred Wegener Institute in the journal Deep-Sea Research. The freshwater content in the layer of the Arctic Ocean near the surface controls whether heat from the ocean is emitted into the atmosphere or to ice. In addition, it has an impact on global ocean circulation.

Differences in the mean salinity of the Arctic Ocean above the 34 isohaline between 2006 to 2008 and 1992 to 1999.

Negative values are shown in yellow, green, and blue and stand for an increase of freshwater.

Magnetic north shifting towards Russia

Scientists say the magnetic pole, which has been in the icy wilderness of Canada for two centuries, is relocating towards Russia at 40 miles per year

Surveys show the magnetic north pole is moving faster, threatening everything from the safety of modern transportation systems to the traditional navigation routes of migrating animals.

Scientists say that magnetic north, which for two centuries has been in the icy wilderness of Canada, is currently relocating towards Russia at a rate of about 40 miles a year, reported The Independent.

The speed of its movement has increased by Read more…

A breakdown of the Rothchilds

Vatic Note: This is a  MUST read.  It is from the perspective of someone living right there in Rothschilds backyard and knows it all.  This is the most extensive and revealing expose and even includes Soros, and others that Rothschild uses to claim his dominance over the globe and by golly its working.  Just read about Bosnia and eastern Europe where Rothschild has already taken over industry, land, and now made slaves of the people and their children for both labor and sex trade.  The man has no limits to his inhumanity.  The whole family is like that, but then they are Khazars and have a thousand year history of being kicked out of everywhere starting with Mongolia for doing exactly what they are doing now…. their inhumanity has been rejected everywhere.  THIS IS WHY THE WORLD MUST GO TO WAR AGAINST THE INTERNATIONAL BANKING KHAZAR ROTHSCHILD REGIME.  THEY HAVE DECLARED WAR ON US.  Fine, its time we started fighting back.  They want a world war, well, this is the only one we should be fighting. MEMORIZE THESE FACES AND NEVER FORGET THEM. Fresh produce prices to double or triple following freak freezes – is Earth in a magnetic pole shift?

February 15, 2011 Comments off

In an article posted on January 3 of this year, I predicted a rise in food prices resulting from freak weather events (http://www.naturalnews.com/030903_p…). Here’s what I said in that article:

By the end of 2012, I predict significant food supply disruptions in North America, brought about either by radical weather affecting crop yields or perhaps the invasion of disease indirectly caused by the over-use of pesticides or GMOs. The number of people in America struggling to feed themselves and their families will rise along with food prices. …Expect to see food prices climb with alarming speed over the next two years. While food won’t disappear, it will become significantly more expensive, causing more people to shift to subsidized foods (corn, sugar, etc.) which also happen to be some of the worst foods for your health.

Now there’s news from Mexico that the fresh produce normally shipped to U.S. grocery stores has been largely destroyed by the freak cold weather snap that struck the continental United States over the past 10 days. As a result, prices on cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, tomatoes and asparagus are set to double or triple starting right now.

Even worse, it looks like the supply of many of these items will be completely wiped out. You won’t be able to buy them, in other words, at any price!

This is the fallout from the worst freeze event recorded in Read more…

North pole shift could cause airport trouble

January 31, 2011 1 comment

Airports like Tampa and West Palm Beach have recently closed runways because of the shift that is taking place, and it is not the runway that is moving.

Peter Burns, Ph.d., a professor at Notre Dame, says, “The issue of course is the magnetic field does not align with the rotational poles of the earth, and depending on where you sit on the earth, the wandering of the magnetic poles is more or less significant.”

Burns also says that magnetic north is currently located in northern Canada, and it is wandering towards Russia.

This could cause some problems for pilots, as compass readings will also “wander”.

Dee Davis of the Mishawaka Pilots Club, says, “More and more navigation is GPS-based and that is a wonderful thing. But the magnetic north compass still works very well, it is inexpensive, and doesn’t require batteries.”

Compasses aid in navigation and they play an important role in runway numbering.

The main runway at South Bend Regional Airport is labeled 27, a look at the charts shows that the runway’s full heading is at 273 degrees.

If magnetic north continues to wander, some runway numbers will no longer match up with their true heading, a problem that could be very dangerous for pilots taking off.

“One of the most important things that a pilot does before take off, is he will Read more…

Lake Vostok drilling in Antarctic ‘running out of time’

January 29, 2011 Comments off
Lake Vostok
The first satellite images of Lake Vostok were obtained in the 1990s

With only about 50m left to drill, time is running out for the Russian scientists hoping to drill into Vostok – the world’s most enigmatic lake.

Vostok is a sub-glacial lake in Antarctica, hidden some 4,000m (13,000ft) beneath the ice sheet.

With the Antarctic summer almost over, temperatures will soon begin to plummet; they can go as low as -80C.

Scientists will leave the remote base on 6 February, when conditions are still mild enough for a plane to land.

The team has been drilling non-stop for weeks. Read more…
