2012: Leaks In Earth’s Magnetic Field Found

February 14, 2011 Comments off

Scientists have found two large leaks in Earth’s magnetosphere, the region around our planet that shields us from severe solar storms.

The leaks are defying many of scientists’ previous ideas on how the interaction between Earth’s magnetosphere and solar wind occurs: The leaks are in an unexpected location, let in solar particles in faster than expected and the whole interaction works in a manner that is completely the opposite of what scientists had thought.

Map shows most of Northern Hemisphere is covered in snow and ice

February 4, 2011 Comments off

At first glance it looks like a graphic from a Discovery Channel program about a distant ice age. But this astonishing picture shows the world as it is today – with half the Northern Hemisphere covered with snow and ice.

The image was released by the National Oceanic And Atmospheric Association (NOAA) on the day half of North America was in the grip of a severe winter storm.

The map was created using multiple satellites from government agencies and the US Air Force.

That Antarctica, the Arctic, Greenland and the frozen wastes of Siberia are covered in white comes as no surprise. But it is the extent to which the line dips down over the Northern Hemisphere that is so remarkable about the image.

A new satellite map by the government agency NOAA shows the extent of the snow blanketing a vast area from the west coast of Canada to eastern China

The shroud of white stretches down from Alaska and sweeps through the Midwest and along to the Eastern seaboard. The bitter cold has reached as far as Texas and northern Mexico where in Ciudad Juarez temperatures today were expected to dip to minus 15C.

In the U.S. tens of millions of people chose to stay at home rather than venture out. In Chicago, 20in of snow fell leading to authorities closing schools for the first time in 12 years. The newspaper for Tulsa, Okalahoma, was unable to publish its print edition for the first time in Read more…

North pole shift could cause airport trouble

January 31, 2011 1 comment

Airports like Tampa and West Palm Beach have recently closed runways because of the shift that is taking place, and it is not the runway that is moving.

Peter Burns, Ph.d., a professor at Notre Dame, says, “The issue of course is the magnetic field does not align with the rotational poles of the earth, and depending on where you sit on the earth, the wandering of the magnetic poles is more or less significant.”

Burns also says that magnetic north is currently located in northern Canada, and it is wandering towards Russia.

This could cause some problems for pilots, as compass readings will also “wander”.

Dee Davis of the Mishawaka Pilots Club, says, “More and more navigation is GPS-based and that is a wonderful thing. But the magnetic north compass still works very well, it is inexpensive, and doesn’t require batteries.”

Compasses aid in navigation and they play an important role in runway numbering.

The main runway at South Bend Regional Airport is labeled 27, a look at the charts shows that the runway’s full heading is at 273 degrees.

If magnetic north continues to wander, some runway numbers will no longer match up with their true heading, a problem that could be very dangerous for pilots taking off.

“One of the most important things that a pilot does before take off, is he will Read more…

8 Strange Earth Changes That May Threaten Civilization

January 26, 2011 Comments off

Say what, two suns may be visible from Earth in 2012? Everyday we seem to be getting bombarded with warning signs that our planet is changing rapidly.  In fact, many of the changes are occurring for the first time in modern recorded history and all seem to indicate a need for civilization to adapt.

Record-breaking heat and cold are striking all corners of the globe; earthquake activity has spiked, even in places thought not to have active fault lines; birds, bees, fish, and other animals are dropping dead with no coherent cause, and there is a flurry of talk about galactic anomalies beginning to happen.

Since the man-made global warming theory has simmered down from a boil, many other concerns have surfaced that appear to minimize possible effects of CO2 concentrations as our greatest concern. Sure, many of these changes may be connected in some way, but the idea that there is a silver bullet to stop this train of collective events is unlikely.

One thing we can say is that we live in very interesting times.  These unprecedented events are accelerating at a blistering pace, as we hurl through space on this ball we call Earth. It seems this turbulent cycle is going to continue to manifest despite our best human efforts to stop it.  The only thing we can hope to do is digest the available information and plan for the worst, while hoping for the best.  Assuredly, humans possess a far greater ability to adapt through technology than the animal kingdom, yet we certainly can’t thrive without protecting the entire biosphere.

Here are 8 strange Earth changes that should demand our attention: Read more…

POLE SHIFT PHENOMENA REPORTED by RUSSIAN SCIENTISTS

The Sun

Let’s begin with the Sun. The Sun is the center of our Solar System, and all life that is on this Earth came from the Sun. If there were no Sun, we would not be alive. This is simply scientific fact. And so any changes that occur in or on the Sun will eventually affect every person alive. The solar activity during this last sunspot cycle was greater than anything ever seen before. Yet every astronomer that I talked to about this except one insisted that everything was “normal.” That one person, who worked at NASA, claimed that what was going on within the Sun was absolutely incredible. She also said that she was not “allowed” to talk about it. But she talked anyway, because she felt that the world needed to know, but at the same time she asked that I not publicly discuss what she had said. Sort of a Catch-22. So the photo at left is just a hint (click on it for a larger view). It’s a recent picture of the Sun from, I believe, the year 2000, showing multiple sunspots ringing the sun on the two latitudes of 19.48 north and south. Some of you will see the significance of this much energy’s being emitted at this particular location.

So let’s look at the obvious question: Read more…

Simplest and Scariest Answer for the Current Pole Flip

January 22, 2011 Comments off

Why I believe the south pole has been moving away from the geographical southern position (technically, its the actual magnetic north pole that is currently down there right now) and why the magnetic north pole (technically the south magnetic pole) has wobbled so much and is now bending down.

We are headed for the event horizon of our galaxy. We are headed for the Mayan dark rift.

This is why we have magnetic pole reversals. The sun changes its poles on a regular basis due to its internal matrix. The earth has a slower system, a lethargic system, to where only great magnetic changes can affect it.

The event horizon of a black hole or of a galaxy that comes from its central black hole is magnetically charged.

It is north polarized in this section, and as we approach it, the south pole, (the true magnetic north pole), is naturally repulsed by it, so it has been steadily moving upwards and away from the event horizon, or 2012 mayan rift.

The north pole, (or magnetic south pole), is naturally attracted to this force since opposite poles attract. But because of its current placement, it has to fight the magnetic forces of the current south pole. Thus, like magnets pushed together with same poles, it wobbles, until, finally, it can be pulled on by a force stronger than the repulsion of the nearest smaller force. In other words, the north pole is now no longer wobbling. It is headed in the direction of the greatest attractive force, the galactic event horizon, which is south of us, and the greatest lump of it, is pulling at us from an angle.

When we get closer to the event horizon or dark rift, the north pole will be pulled down while the south pole will be pushed up and away. It is then that the planet’s core will feel an enormous tug, and major earthquakes will hit the planet. This magnetic event is being played out before our very eyes, and may be completed in the following months, up to three years, but it seems to have speeded up and may happen before 2012.

If this theory holds up, we should see Jupiter and the other gas giants moving out of their place towards the south of our solar system, using the Earth’s orientation to determine south and north. In other words, the orbits of Jupiter and Saturn should already be showing signs of dipping toward the Galactic Event Horizon to our south, or will show these signs a few minutes before our poles flip, unless they have already flipped, in which case, the dip in their orbits should already be showing.

Earth’s magnetic pole shift unleashing poisonous space clouds linked to mysterious bird deaths

January 20, 2011 Comments off

Natural News

Following the unexplained deaths of several thousand birds over the last two weeks, events are now emerging that may offer a physics-based explanation for the mysterious deaths. It all begins on a runway in Tampa, where airport officials recently closed that runway in order to change the numeric designators painted there. Why are those numeric designators being changed? Because the Earth’s magnetic poles are shifting and the numbers previously painted on the runway no longer match up with the magnetic measurements of sensitive airplane instruments (http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-01…).

As Physorg.com explains:

The primary runway at the airport is designated 18R/36L, which means the runway is aligned along 180 degrees from north (that is, due south) when approached from the north and 360 degrees from north when approached from the south. Now the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has requested the designation be changed to 19R/1L to account for the movement of the magnetic north pole.

This brings us to our first physics fact of this article:

Physics Fact #1: The Earth’s magnetic poles are shifting. (And not just a little bit, but enough to affect airport runways on the scale of human observation.)

The role of Earth’s magnetic field
The Earth’s magnetic field is extremely important for protecting the planet from so-called “solar wind” and other electromagnetic influences from space. The magnetosphere, which is driven by the Earth’s magnetic field, serves as a kind of electromagnetic barrier to prevent dangerous rays from reaching the surface of the planet.

You can see a picture of that here: http://www.theozonehole.com/magneti…

Physics Fact #2: The Earth’s magnetic field has flipped hundreds of times in the past.

The Earth’s magnetic field “flips” (or reverses polarity) every few thousand years. This is called a geomagnetic reversal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geomag…). In between these flips, the magnetic field can become quite weak and chaotic, causing “turbulence” in the field, which can effectively cause weaker gaps in the magnetosphere.

These magnetic gaps or weaknesses can allow outside influences that normally would not penetrate the magnetosphere to reach deep into that magnetosphere, theoretically all the way down to where birds fly at very low altitude.

Last week, a report from the Russia’s Ministry for Extraordinary Situations (MCHS) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minist…) warned that the weakening Earth magnetosphere was allowing “poisonous space clouds” to enter deep into Earth’s atmosphere where it is coming into contact with birds.

These “space clouds” are called Noctilucent clouds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noctil…), which exist at very high altitudes (roughly 50 miles) and accumulate space dust from micrometeors and other sources.

What’s really interesting here is that these noctilucent clouds exhibit very high radar reflectivity (http://media.caltech.edu/press_rele…). This means these clouds create a very large radar signature on weather tracking systems.

Physics fact #3: Noctilucent clouds have very high radar reflectivity. Read more…

Northern Lights Could Be Seen In Florida as Poles Shift

KTSM

It may soon be that compasses are no longer accurate, the North Star could be the South star, and Santa just may be lost.

Don’t blame anyone just yet— the “North Pole” is merely changing.

The change is so critical, workers at two Florida airports are making changes to the Tampa International Airport and Peter O. Knight Airport. Robert Burr of TIA said one runway, number 36, pointed North at 360 degrees. But now, that same runway points 10 degrees north. TIA decided to repaint the numbers on the runway to match the pilot compass readings. Runway number 36 is now number 1.

Chris Connor, Ph.D., a Volcanologist with the University of South Florida, said that there’s a magnetic pole which is produced by changes and or flow of iron in the core of the earth. Connor said the constantly moving molten iron creates a magnet on a planetary scale with a magnetic North and South Pole. He also said that the magnetic fields have been moving— what used to be in northern Canada is now in northern Siberia.

The last shift was more than 700,000 years ago, and some experts are saying it’s time for the change. Every million years or so Earth’s magnetic pole does a flip, and new poles arise in random places. After the poles are settled, South may be the new North and vice versa. Meaning that maybe the Aurora Borealis could be seen in Florida.

Alarming NOAA data, Rapid Pole Shift

magneitic-north-pole-shift-400-years

The NOAA National Geophysical Data Center maintains a data set of annual magnetic north pole coordinates going back to the year 1590, derived from early measurements from ships logs to modern day techniques.

Noting that there has been lots of reporting of pole shift lately, to the point where the phenomenon is actually causing real-world issues such as temporary airport closures, a deeper investigation was in order.

After transferring 420 years of north pole position data from the NOAA Geo Data Center, configuring it to fit in an Excel spreadsheet, adding a complicated formula to determine exact distance between 2 sets of latitude-longitude coordinates, applying the formula to each data point in the series, and then finally plotting it all in a visual graph, it is alarming to discover the amount of pole shift just over the past 10 to 20 years.

Here is one very interesting fact…
Since 1860, the magnetic pole shift has more than doubled every 50 years. That is pretty significant.

Here is another very interesting fact… Read more…

The sun rises two days early in Greenland, sparking fears that climate change is accelerating

January 17, 2011 Comments off

The sun over Greenland has risen two days early, baffling scientists and sparking fears that Arctic icecaps are melting faster than previously thought.

Experts say the sun should have risen over the Arctic nation’s most westerly town, Ilulissat, yesterday, ending a month-and-a-half of winter darkness.

But for the first time in history light began creeping over the horizon at around 1pm on Tuesday – 48 hours ahead of the usual date of 13 January.

The mysterious sunrise has confused scientists, although it is believed the most likely explanation is that it is down to the lower height of melting icecaps allowing the sun’s light to penetrate through earlier.

Climate change? The sun rose in Ilulissat, Greenland, two days early on Tuesday, ending a month-and-a-half of winter darkness.
